The Greensboro Bats of the South Atlantic League ended the 1999 season with a record of 77 wins and 64 losses, finishing second in the league's Central Division.

The Bats scored 733 runs, best in the league. Greensboro yielded 646 runs. Billy Brown led the squad with 19 home runs, while Scott Kidd, Claude Greene and Scott Seabol each walloped 15 or more, too. Scott Seabol drove in 89 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .315. Jeremy Blevins paced the squad with 10 wins, and Geraldo Padua recorded a 2.84 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Rosman García, Randy Keisler, Brett Jodie, Scott Seabol, Zach Day, Scott Wiggins, Chris Spurling, Mike Vento and Brandon Claussen were all players from the 1999 Greensboro Bats who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
