The Fort Worth Cats of the American Association ended the 2008 season with a record of 60 wins and 36 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Cats paced the circuit with just 398 runs allowed. Fort Worth scored 534 runs. John Allen led the squad with 20 home runs, while Nelson Teilon walloped 15 or more, too. Nelson Teilon drove in 74 runs. John Allen topped all regular hitters by hitting .327. Pedro Flores paced the team with 14 wins, and Lee Gwaltney recorded a 2.57 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Aaron Crow played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Fort Worth Cats to do so.

Chad Tredaway served as manager.
