The Fort Worth Cats of the Texas League ended the 1954 season with a record of 81 wins and 80 losses, finishing fourth in the TL.

The Cats scored 741 runs and allowed 722 runs. Danny Ozark led Fort Worth with 23 home runs, while Calvin Felix and Glen Gorbous walloped 15 or more as well. Calvin Felix drove in 77 runs. Glen Gorbous paced batters with significant playing time by hitting .283. Karl Spooner topped the squad with 21 wins and a team-best 3.14 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Norm Sherry, Roy Hartsfield, Glenn Mickens, Glen Gorbous, Gabe Gabler, Ray Coleman and Karl Spooner were all players from the 1954 Fort Worth Cats who played in the Majors during their careers.
