The Delmarva Shorebirds of the South Atlantic League ended the 1999 season with a record of 58 wins and 80 losses, finishing fourth in the league's North Division.

The Shorebirds plated 627 runs and yielded 705 runs. Matt Purkiss paced Delmarva with 11 home runs Brock Rumfield accounted for 56 RBI. Tim Raines led hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .248 clip. John Stephens topped the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 3.23 ERA, leading hurlers with significant time on the mound.
