The Daimai Orions of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1962 season with a record of 60 wins and 70 losses, finishing fourth in the JPPL.
The Orions scored 552 runs and allowed 571 runs, most in the circuit. Kazuhiro Yamauchi led Daimai with 18 home runs, and Kihachi Enomoto walloped 15 or more also. Kazuhiro Yamauchi recorded 72 runs batted in and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .334 average. Tomoo Wako paced the team with 15 wins and a team-best 2.73 ERA, best among regular hurlers.
Nick Testa played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Daimai Orions to do so.
