The Daimai Orions of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1960 season with a record of 82 wins and 48 losses, finishing first in the JPPL.
The Orions led the circuit with 547 runs, powered by 100 home runs. Daimai surrendered 433 runs, least in the league. Kazuhiro Yamauchi walloped 32 home runs for the squad and recorded 103 runs batted in. Kihachi Enomoto paced all regular hitters with a .344 average. Shoichi Ono earned 33 wins for the squad, while Katsumi Nakanishi also added 15 or more victories also Shoichi Ono recorded a 1.98 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances. Yukio Nishimoto served as manager.
