The Daimai Orions of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1959 season with a record of 82 wins and 48 losses, finishing second in the JPPL.
The Orions tallied 559 runs and conceded 447 runs. Kazuhiro Yamauchi paced Daimai with 25 home runs, and Takao Katsuragi walloped 15 or more also. Takao Katsuragi accounted for 95 RBI. Kazuhiro Yamauchi topped all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .320 average. Shoichi Ono led the squad with 22 wins, while Atsushi Aramaki also added 15 or more victories also Haruki Mihira recorded a 1.95 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances. Kaoru Betto served as manager.
