The Decatur Commodores of the Midwest League ended the 1969 season with a record of 53 wins and 66 losses, finishing seventh in the MWL.

The Commodores scored 444 runs, worst in the league, and allowed 470 runs. Tommy Hanegan led Decatur with 10 home runs and drove in 37 runs, while leading all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .230 clip. Leo Mazzone topped the team with 15 wins and a team-best 2.52 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
