The Charleston Wheelers of the South Atlantic League ended the 1992 season with a record of 77 wins and 64 losses, finishing second in the league's North Division.

The Wheelers plated 606 runs and allowed 522 runs. Jamie Dismuke paced Charleston with 17 home runs, and K. C. Gillum walloped 15 or more, too. Jamie Dismuke and Bobby Perna each recorded 71 runs batted in. Bobby Perna led all regular hitters by connecting at a .301 clip. Charles McClain topped the squad with 12 wins, while John Courtright registered a 2.5 earned run average, tops among qualifying pitchers.
