The Columbus RedStixx of the South Atlantic League ended the 2002 season with a record of 79 wins and 60 losses, finishing first in the league's Southern Division.

The RedStixx scored 625 runs and yielded 585 runs. Brian Kirby paced Columbus with 14 home runs J. J. Sherrill accounted for 56 RBI. Rodney Choy Foo topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .264 clip. J. D. Martin led the team with 14 wins, while Travis Foley recorded a 2.82 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.

Luke Scott, J. D. Martin, Lee Gronkiewicz, Willy Taveras, Derek Thompson, Iván Ochoa, Tim Laker, Joe Inglett and Jonathan Van Every were all players from the 2002 Columbus RedStixx who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
