The Columbia Reds of the South Atlantic League ended the 1960 season with a record of 83 wins and 56 losses, finishing first in the SAL.

The Reds allowed 540 runs, least in the league. Columbia plated 646 runs. Joe Wilson paced the team with 21 home runs, while Eddie Moore walloped 15 or more, too. Eddie Moore drove in 82 runs and topped all regular hitters with a .296 average. Ken Hunt led the squad with 16 wins, and Charlie Rabe recorded a 2.39 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Chico Ruiz, Charlie Rabe, Ken Hunt, Don Pavletich, Jack Baldschun, Bobby Klaus and Joe Gaines were all players from the 1960 Columbia Reds who played in the Majors during their careers.

Max Macon served as manager.
