The Carlsbad Potashes of the Sophomore League ended the 1959 season with a record of 72 wins and 54 losses, finishing first in the SL.
The Potashes scored 783 runs and gave up 699 runs. Gil Carter walloped 34 home runs for Carlsbad and drove in 117 runs. Jesse White led all regular hitters by connecting at a .312 clip. Ed Stemac, Martin Perez and Jack Warner topped the squad with 13 wins each, while Jack Warner recorded a 2.41 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
Jack Warner played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Carlsbad Potashes to do so.
