Tae-Kyun Kim powered the team with 21 home runs, while Tadahito Iguchi, Shoitsu Omatsu and Saburo Omura each walloped 15 or more as well. Tadahito Iguchi accounted for 103 RBI. Tsuyoshi Nishioka topped batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .346 clip. Yoshihisa Naruse led the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 3.32 earned run average, leading regular hurlers.
