The Chiba Lotte Marines of the Japan Pacific League ended the 1999 season with a record of 63 wins and 70 losses, finishing fourth in the JPPL.

The Marines scored 541 runs and conceded 538 runs. Frank Bolick led Chiba Lotte with 26 home runs, and Kiyoshi Hatsushiba walloped 15 or more as well. Kiyoshi Hatsushiba recorded 85 runs batted in. Kenji Morozumi and Makoto Kosaka paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .280 clip. Tomohiro Kuroki topped the team with 14 wins and a team-best 2.5 earned run average, best among regular hurlers.

Brent Brede, Masahide Kobayashi, Yasuhiko Yabuta, Joe Crawford, Frank Bolick, Dean Hartgraves and Satoru Komiyama were all players from the 1999 Chiba Lotte Marines who played in the Majors during their careers.
