The Chattanooga Lookouts of the Southern Association ended the 1959 season with a record of 67 wins and 86 losses, finishing seventh in the SA.

The Lookouts tallied 619 runs and surrendered 663 runs. Dan Dobbek paced Chattanooga with 23 home runs, while Roy Hawes walloped 15 or more as well. Dan Dobbek drove in 73 runs. Roy Hawes topped all regular batters with a .299 average. Ward Wilson led the squad with 10 wins, and Jim Heise earned a 2.93 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
