The Chattanooga Lookouts of the Southern Association ended the 1955 season with a record of 80 wins and 74 losses, finishing third in the SA.

The Lookouts tallied 769 runs and allowed 702 runs. Tom Wright led all regular hitters with a .293 average. Hal Griggs topped Chattanooga with 15 wins, while Al Sima earned a 3.04 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
