The Dragons scored 561 runs and conceded 537 runs. Gene Martin walloped 35 home runs for Chunichi, while Hiroaki Inoue, Morimichi Takagi, Tatsuhiko Kimata and Kenichi Yazawa each added 15 or more as well. Gene Martin drove in 87 runs. Tatsuhiko Kimata paced hitters with significant playing time by hitting .322. Yukitsura Matsumoto topped the squad with 20 wins, and Senichi Hoshino contributed 15 or more victories also Senichi Hoshino registered a 2.87 earned run average, best among qualifying pitchers.

Gene Martin played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Chunichi Dragons to do so.

Wally Yonamine served as manager.
