The Chunichi Dragons of the Japan Central League ended the 1968 season with a record of 50 wins and 80 losses, finishing sixth in the JPCL.
The Dragons tallied 499 runs and gave up 579 runs, most in the league. Shinichi Eto walloped 36 home runs for Chunichi, and Tatsuhiko Kimata added 15 or more also. Shinichi Eto drove in 93 runs and topped batters with significant playing time by hitting .302. Tsutomu Tanaka led the squad with 11 wins, while Tatsumi Yamanaka registered a 2.89 earned run average, leading qualifying pitchers. Itsuro Honda and Shigeru Sugishita served as manager.
