The Red Birds plated 666 runs and yielded 776 runs. Chuck Kress paced Columbus with 24 home runs, while Russ Derry walloped 15 or more, too. Chuck Kress drove in 85 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .287 clip. Floyd Melliere led the team with 15 wins, and Ralph Beard recorded a 3.66 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
