The Capital City Bombers of the South Atlantic League ended the 2004 season with a record of 89 wins and 47 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Bombers topped the league with 853 runs, sparked by 166 home runs. Capital City allowed 680 runs. Jamar Hill led the team with 26 home runs, while Shawn Bowman, Andy Wilson and Blake Whealy each walloped 15 or more, too. Jamar Hill drove in 89 runs. Ryan Harvey paced all regular hitters with a .325 average. Tanner Osberg paced the squad with 10 wins, and Vince Cordova recorded a 4.27 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
