The Billings Mustangs of the Pioneer League ended the 1958 season with a record of 56 wins and 72 losses, finishing seventh in the PL.

The Mustangs scored 702 runs, worst in the league, and conceded 837 runs. Chase Riddle and Jim Hickman led Billings with 14 home runs apiece. William DiCrosta accounted for 92 RBI. Arthur Burnett paced all regular batters by connecting at a .336 clip. Stanrad Thompson topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 4.61 earned run average, best among regular hurlers.

Jim Hickman played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Billings Mustangs to do so.

Chase Riddle served as manager.
