The Buffalo Bisons of the International League ended the 1964 season with a record of 80 wins and 69 losses, finishing third in the IL.

The Bisons scored 680 runs and allowed 660 runs. Duke Carmel walloped 35 home runs for Buffalo, while Joe Hicks and Cleon Jones added 15 or more also. Duke Carmel drove in 99 runs. Joe Hicks topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .282. Craig Anderson led the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 2.96 earned run average, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
