The Tourists led the league with 614 runs, powered by 120 home runs. Asheville surrendered 533 runs. Darrel Chaney paced the squad with 23 home runs, while Goldie Francis, Archie Moore and Bernie Carbo each walloped 15 or more also. Archie Moore drove in 79 runs. David Burge topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .317 clip. Grover Powell paced the team with 16 wins and a team-best 2.54 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
