The Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League ended the 1963 season with a record of 79 wins and 61 losses, finishing third in the SAL.
The Tourists led the league with 640 runs, sparked by 86 home runs. Asheville allowed 522 runs. Charlie Leonard and Ron Woods paced the team with 15 home runs apiece. Charlie Leonard accounted for 78 RBI and topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .282 clip. Troy Giles paced the squad with 18 wins, while Phillip Cunningham earned a 2.61 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
