The Arkansas Travelers of the Texas League ended the 2005 season with a record of 71 wins and 69 losses, finishing second in the league's East Division.

The Travelers scored 760 runs and allowed 701 runs. Mike Napoli walloped 31 home runs for Arkansas, while David Gates, Tommy Murphy and Kendrys Morales each swatted 15 or more also. Mike Napoli drove in 99 runs. Reggie Willits paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .304 clip. Daniel Davidson topped the squad with 13 wins, and Kasey Olenberger registered a 3.73 earned run average, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
