The Anderson Senators of the Western Carolinas League ended the 1971 season with a record of 55 wins and 66 losses, finishing fourth in the WCL.

The Senators scored 613 runs and allowed 652 runs. Dave Criscione led Anderson with 25 home runs, while Bob Jones and Roy Gibson walloped 15 or more also. Bob Jones recorded 77 runs batted in and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .321 clip. Rick Kemp paced the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.98 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
