The Albuquerque Dukes of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1982 season with a record of 85 wins and 58 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Dukes topped the league with 956 runs, spearheaded by 139 home runs. Albuquerque allowed 811 runs. Greg Brock walloped 44 home runs for the team, while Candy Maldonado swatted 15 or more also. Greg Brock drove in 138 runs. Dave Anderson led all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .343 clip. Rich Rodas paced the team with 14 wins, and Orel Hershiser registered a 3.73 earned run average, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
