Herb Brooks compiled a record of 219 wins and 219 losses and 66 ties in his coaching career with the New York Rangers, Minnesota North Stars, New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins. He began coaching during the 1981 season and last coached during the 1999 campaign. Brooks was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2006.
