The Winnipeg Jets of the World Hockey Association ended the 1976-77 season with a record of 46 wins and 32 losses and 2 ties for 94 points, finishing second in the WHA's WHA West Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 11-9.
The Jets topped the league with 366 goals. Winnipeg allowed 291 goals. Anders Hedberg scored 70 goals for the squad, while Willy Lindstrom, Peter Sullivan and Ulf Nilsson each netted 30 or more also. Ulf Nilsson contributed 85 assists. Joe Daley notched 39 wins for the team and a team-best 3.24 goals against average, leading goalies with significant playing time.
