The Racers netted 276 goals and yielded 305. Blair MacDonald scored 34 goals for Indianapolis, and Daryl Maggs contributed 55 assists. Michel Dion topped the squad with 17 wins and a team-best 3.36 goals against average, pacing goaltenders with enough qualifying appearances.

Jacques Demers coached the team. The 1976-77 Indianapolis Racers lost in the AVCO Cup semi-finals.
