The Aeros gave up 219 goals, the lowest total in the circuit. Houston netted 318 goals. Frank Hughes scored 42 goals for the team, while Murray Hall, Larry Lund, Gordie Howe, Mark Howe and Jim Sherrit each tallied 30 or more, too. Gordie Howe contributed 69 assists. Don McLeod earned 33 wins for the squad and a team-best 2.56 goals against average, leading goalies with significant playing time.

Bill Dineen coached the team. The 1973-74 Houston Aeros won the AVCO Cup.
