The Birmingham Americans of the World Football League ended the 1974 season with a record of 15 wins and 5 losses, finishing second in the WFL's Central Division.
Birmingham moved the ball well, scoring 500 points, while the defensive squad surrendered 394. Paul Robinson rushed for a team-best 599 yards for the Americans, while Jimmy Edwards, Art Cantrelle and Charlie Harraway each additionally aided the ground game.
George Mira threw for 2,248 yards, and Matthew Reed played quarterback, too. Dennis Homan paced all receivers, catching 61 passes, while Alfred Jenkins accumulated 1,326 receiving yards.
Ross Brupbacher, Warren Capone, Larry Willingham and Gerard Williams each seized 4 opponent throws.
Jack Gotta coached the team. The 1974 Birmingham Americans won the Championship.
