The Chicago Blitz of the United States Football League ended the 1983 season with a record of 12 wins and 6 losses, finishing second in the USFL's Central Division.

Offensively, the Blitz topped the league with 456 points. On the other side of the ball, the stingy defense allowed 271 points. Tim Spencer rushed for a team-leading 1,157 yards, and Kevin Long also aided the ground game.

Greg Landry passed for 2,383 yards. Trumaine Johnson hauled in 81 balls for 1,322 yards.

Luther Bradley intercepted 12 opponent throws. Joe Ehrmann led the defensive unit with 13.5 quarterback sacks, helping propel the defense to an overall total of 58 sacks.

George Allen coached the team. The 1983 Chicago Blitz lost in the Semifinal.
