Oakland struggled to score 237 points, worst in the circuit, while the shaky defensive squad conceded 458, most in the league. Tom Flores threw for 2,176 yards. Doug Asad hauled in 42 passes for 592 yards. Bob Coolbaugh and Alan Miller were targeted regularly as well.
Wayne Crow ran for a team-best 490 yards for the Raiders.
Fred Williamson and Joe Cannavino each intercepted 5 errant tosses from the opposition.
