The defense proved to be a force, as the Dolphins led the league with just 150 points allowed. Miami piled up points with 343 points. Larry Csonka ran for a team-best 1,003 yards, while Mercury Morris also contributed to the rushing attack.
Bob Griese passed for 1,422 yards. Marlin Briscoe paced pass catchers, hauling in 30 passes, while Paul Warfield accumulated 514 receiving yards, while Jim Kiick and Jim Mandich were targeted regularly as well.
Dick Anderson intercepted 8 errant tosses from the opposition.
Don Shula coached the team. The 1973 Miami Dolphins won the Super Bowl.
