Houston chalked up 335 points, while the shaky defensive squad yielded 396, most in the circuit. George Blanda passed for 1,764 yards, and Don Trull spent time under center as well. Charley Frazier hauled in 57 passes for 1,129 yards.
Ode Burrell ran for a team-leading 406 yards for the Oilers, and Hoyle Granger also contributed to the rushing attack.
Fred Glick and Jim Norton each intercepted 4 errant tosses from the opposition.
