Roger Staubach passed for 1,882 yards, and Craig Morton spent time under center, too. Walt Garrison hauled in 40 passes, while Bob Hayes accumulated 840 receiving yards, while Lance Alworth and Mike Ditka contributed to the receiving game as well.

The ball-hawking defense pounced on 51 turnovers, topping in the league. Herb Adderley intercepted 6 errant tosses from the opposition.

Tom Landry coached the team. The 1971 Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl.
