The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League ended the 1997 season with a record of 2 wins and 16 losses for 4 points, finishing fourth in the CFL's East Division.
The Tiger-Cats managed just 362 points, worst in the league, and the shaky defensive squad gave up 549, most in the circuit. Anthony Calvillo threw for 2,177 yards, and Rickey Foggie played quarterback, too. Prince Wimbley led the receiving corps, grabbing 42 receptions for 637 yards. Burt Thornton, Archie Amerson, Mike Morreale, Andrew Grigg and Ashaundai Smith each contributed to the receiving game as well.
Archie Amerson carried the ball for a team-high 630 yards for Hamilton.
Orlondo Steinauer snatched 7 opponent throws. Willie Whitehead topped the defensive unit with 13 quarterback sacks.
Urban Bowman and Don Sutherin coached the team.
