The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League ended the 1965 season with a record of 10 wins and 4 losses for 20 points, finishing first in the CFL's Eastern Conference. The team compiled a postseason mark of 3-0.
The defense proved to be a force, as the Tiger-Cats topped the league with just 153 points allowed. Hamilton scored 281 points. Willie Bethea carried the ball for a team-high 598 yards, and Art Baker additionally aided the ground game.
Frank Cosentino threw for 876 yards, and Joe Zuger played quarterback as well. Stan Crisson led pass catchers, grabbing 28 receptions, while Tommy Grant contributed 558 receiving yards.
Billy Wayte picked off 9 opponent throws.
Ralph Sazio coached the team. The 1965 Hamilton Tiger-Cats won the Grey Cup.
