The defense proved to be a force, as the Lions led the league with just 281 points allowed. BC chalked up 445 points. Roy Dewalt triggered the aerial attack, slinging for 3,613 yards. Mervyn Fernandez grabbed 89 passes for 1,486 yards.

John White carried the ball for a team-leading 523 yards.

The larcenous defense pounced on 69 turnovers, topping in the league. Andre Jones and Larry Crawford each picked off 5 opponent throws. James Parker topped the defensive unit with 26.5 quarterback sacks, leading the way for a team which created 71 sacks.

Don Matthews coached the team. The 1984 BC Lions lost in the Division Final.
