Offensively, Buffalo paced the circuit with 428 points. On the other side of the ball, the rigid defensive squad surrendered 263 points. Jim Kelly threw for 2,829 yards. Andre Reed hauled in 71 balls for 945 yards. James Lofton provided receiving help, too.
Thurman Thomas rushed for a team-leading 1,297 yards for the Bills.
The opportunistic defense led the way with 35 turnovers. Kirby Jackson intercepted 3 opponent throws. Bruce Smith topped pass rushers with 19 quarterback sacks, part of an overall team total of 43 sacks.
Marv Levy coached the team. The 1990 Buffalo Bills lost in the Super Bowl.
