The San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League ended the 2014 season with a record of 13 wins and 5 losses, finishing first in the Arena League's Pacific Division of the National Conference. The team compiled a postseason mark of 1-1.
The defense proved to be a force, as the SaberCats surrendered 723 points, lowest in the league. San Jose ran up 999 points. Nathan Stanley threw for 2,436 yards, and Russ Michna played quarterback, too. Rod Harper grabbed 100 passes, while Reggie Gray accumulated 1,054 receiving yards. Jason Willis was targeted regularly also.
Odie Armstrong carried the ball for a team-best 180 yards.
Clevan Thomas intercepted 8 opponent throws. Jason Stewart topped pass rushers with 12.5 quarterback sacks, helping propel the defense to an overall total of 39 sacks.
