Coaching Career
George Mikan averaged 22.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in his 528-game career with the Chicago American Gears, Chicago Gears and Minneapolis Lakers. He began playing during the 1946-47 season and last took the court during the 1955-56 campaign. Mikan was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1959.
