The Braves surrendered 584 runs, fewest in the league. Boston tallied 739 runs. Bob Elliott paced the team with 23 home runs, while Jeff Heath walloped 20 or more, too. Bob Elliott drove in 100 runs. Tommy Holmes led all regular hitters with a .325 average. Johnny Sain earned 24 wins on the mound for the squad, plus Warren Spahn, too added 15 or more wins, too Johnny Sain recorded a 2.60 ERA, leading regularly-used pitchers.

Billy Southworth coached the team. The 1948 Boston Braves won the League Championship Series.
