Rube Waddell compiled a career record of 193 wins and 143 losses in his 410-game career with the Louisville Colonels, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Orphans, Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Browns. He began playing during the 1897 season and last took the field during the 1910 campaign. Waddell was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946.
