The Washington Statesmen of the American Association ended the 1891 season with a record of 44 wins and 91 losses, finishing ninth in the AA.
The Statesmen scored 691 runs and conceded 1067 runs, most in the circuit. Deacon McGuire accounted for 66 RBI and topped all regular batters with a .303 average. Frank Foreman led the team with 18 wins and a team-best 3.73 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
