Roger Maris crushed 61 homers for New York, while Yogi Berra, Bill Skowron, Johnny Blanchard, Elston Howard and Mickey Mantle each walloped 20 or more also. Roger Maris drove in 142 runs. Elston Howard led all regular hitters by hitting .348. Whitey Ford earned 25 wins on the mound for the team, and Luis Arroyo and Ralph Terry added 15 or more victories also Bill Stafford recorded a 2.68 ERA, leading regularly-used pitchers.
