The Yankees scored 746 runs, most in the league. New York conceded 627 runs. Mickey Mantle walloped 40 home runs for the squad, while Roger Maris, Bill Skowron and Yogi Berra each swatted 20 or more, too. Roger Maris drove in 112 runs. Bill Skowron led hitters with significant playing time by hitting .309. Art Ditmar topped the team with 15 wins and a team-best 3.06 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.
Casey Stengel coached the team. The 1960 New York Yankees won the League Championship Series.
