The Twins scored 744 runs and yielded 605 runs. Harmon Killebrew walloped 41 home runs for Minnesota, while Brant Alyea, George Mitterwald and Tony Oliva each swatted 20 or more also. Harmon Killebrew accounted for 113 RBI. Tony Oliva led batters with significant playing time by hitting .325. Jim Perry earned 24 wins on the mound for the team, and Tom Hall earned a 2.55 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.

Bill Rigney coached the team. The 1970 Minnesota Twins qualified for the playoffs as a division winner.
