The Louisville Colonels of the American Association ended the 1889 season with a record of 27 wins and 111 losses, finishing eighth in the AA.
The Colonels scored 632 runs, worst in the league, and allowed 1091 runs, most in the circuit. Farmer Weaver drove in 60 runs. Farmer Weaver and Chicken Wolf led all regular batters by connecting at a .291 clip.
